CMA health care principles endorsed

The BMC and other patient organizations have endorsed a set of health care transformation principles as developed by the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) and the Canadian Nurses Assocation (CNA).

Globe & Mail Catastrophic Drug Coverage Series (Week of April 4, 2011)

The week of April 4, 2011 the Globe & Mail ran extensive coverage on Canadian drug access issues in a series entitled Time to Lead, exploring catastrophic drug coverage, rare disease issues and international comparisons.   The series opened with Andre Picard's article "The Cost of Drugs: Breaking the Bank to Stay Alive", featuring interviews with Dr. Katharina Kovacs-Burns and Linda Wilhelm of the Best Medicines Coalition's Operating Committee, along with other compelling patient stories.
