Dear Editor,

Having access to a qualified doctors and nurses is a cornerstone to good healthcare in this country, so the NDP with its $900 million progam and the Liberal Party with $420 million are both on the right track. Canadian patients have waited too long for this critical shortage to be addressed. We would expect that all Canadian political parties will offer up a potential solution for voters to consider when they go to the polls on October 14, and we eagerly await details. More importantly, national leadership on broad healthcare issues is called for. Canadian patients are eager to work with the government of the day to develop comprehensive solutions on a range of policy fronts
including all aspects of treatment access.
